Music for Listening to

LMR is a small, midwestern music label. It's been promoting local music since January, 2005. Most everything made is recorded or designed in-house by Robert Eisenbraun.

Arr!

It isn't a standard label. Standard labels have money. In many ways it's more like a workhouse to help artists produce artwork than it is a record label. By both intention and consequence it's trying to produce good artwork not "just as a hobby" (as if it isn't important) and not to make money (since it can't), but because the creation of good artwork and the byproducts of creation are virtuous pursuits.

Robert played drums in his brother's band, Eisenbraun & the Geiger Counter, from 2004 to 2006. In 2005, he started work in a large, comfortable room in his parents' St. Louis house. He recorded his friend Nathanael Yarbrough (Me & Jane) and then began recording his own faltering skilz under the moniker Electrohome. He released three albums before bussing up to Chicago, IL for college, where he bought some new talent for the brand. Electrohome became Men of Easy Company.

Leaving St. Louis and his brother's studio, his recording facilities had been significantly hampered. Robert is still looking for artists to help develop in Chicago, though.

Me & Jane has peacefully gone the way of the buffalo, but Mr. Eisenbraun is active with the Men of Easy Company.

If you have time, look up a few of our friends: Joe Eisenbraun, Geraci, White Devil, Ben Bruckner.
